Philip Seymour Hoffman – The one man I want to see play ‘The Penguin’ when a new “Batman” movie gets up – is the latest name aboard the already star-laden Daniel Espinosa film “Child 44”, according to Deadline.
Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Gary Oldman, and Joel Kinnaman are all set for the film, story of a soviet military police officer who is investigating a series of nasty child murders during Stalin-era Soviet Union, which boasts Ridley Scott as a producer.
No word on who Hoffman would play, but he’ll be a fine addition – the man is always a bonus to any film, if you ask me. Next up for the versatile thesp are roles in “The Hunger Games : Catching Fire” are “A Most Wanted Man”; he’s also set for a role in John Slattery’s directing stab “God’s Pocket”.
