Choo on this! Orient Express remake gathering steam!

Fox has secured the screen rights to an Agatha Christie classic, “Murder on the Orient Express”, with Ridely Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon to produce.

The novel was previously made into a film in 1974. It landed six Oscar nominations and saw Ingrid Bergman score an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news, with Fox now on the lookout for writers to adapt the classic.

Christie’s novel sees her renowned detective Hercule Poirot investigating the murder of a passenger on a train leaving Istanbul. The 1974 film adaptation saw Albert Finney portray the famed detective.

At this stage it isn’t known whether Fox intends on making a period film or a contemporary adaptation of the classic, however with the trio of producers that the film boasts, we could expect big things.
