Chris Messina is in negotiations to join Ben Affleck in crime drama “Live by Night”.
The film is based on Dennis Lehane’s novel about organized crime in the Prohibition era. Messina will play Affleck’s best friend and partner in crime.
Elle Fanning, Sienna Miller and Zoe Saldana are also in talks to star.
Producers are Affleck and Jennifer Todd of Pearl Street with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran of Appian Way.
According to reports, production is likely to kick off in November.
