Former “Smallville” star Tom Welling is returning to primetime.
The model turned actor, who recently played support to Kevin Costner in the film “Draft Day”, will headline CBS drama “Section 13”, says Deadline.
Hailing from Warner Bros TV, the Carla Kettner (“Bones”) penned project fixes on a CIA black ops officer-turned-private contractor (Welling) who, after a personal tragedy, joins a covert organization devoted to carrying out the most difficult and dangerous high-stakes assignments.
Welling, who produced The CW’s “Hellcats”, will executive produce with Kettner.
