Weeksy Here: Had to drop in with the big rumour of the day, which according to a scooper over at AICN is that “Gran Torino” is actually a brand spankin’ new “Dirty Harry” flick. Eastwood has recently been doing some VO work for an upcoming “Dirty Harry” next-gen video game, and with Warner’s recently announcing the new Blu-Ray set of all the Harry Callahan flicks, this could actually have legs – I’m sure we’ll find out more in the coming weeks…….. Clint Eastwood will return to the big screen in a film he’ll direct called “Grand Torino”. It’s the first flick Eastwood will have acted in since 2004’s “Million Dollar Baby”.
Details of “Torino” are being kept under tantalizingly tight wraps. Existence of the film, and Eastwood’s role, were only revealed on Tuesday when Warner quietly dated the movie for sometime in December.
Torino” means Eastwood will be theaters twice in a short period with films he has directed. On Nov. 7, Universal and Imagine open Eastwood’s Angelina Jolie starrer “Changeling,” a child abduction drama.
