Guess whose back in town…and [ouch] with a mighty hangover. Good time was had by all at this year’s Movie Convention on the Gold Coast –lots of good stuff shown, lots of great food, drink and people. Over the next few days, you can expect a few reports. Just waiting for this hammering cranium to go down…

  • Stampede Entertainment were in touch to say the “Tremors” TV Series has been cancelled and won’t be returning for a second season.

  • According to IGN FilmForce, Sean Astin might be up for a lead in the “Fantastic Four” movie. No indications as to which part he’d be up for though.

  • The first 8 minutes of “Jeepers Creepers 2” is up here

  • FilmJerk have character details for Cameron Crowe’s next film “Elizabethtown”, as well as news that Jane Fonda might no longer be involved.

  • Bloody Disgusting is reporting that the upcoming two direct-to-video “Hellraiser” sequels might have shifted release dates. Details here.

  • According to a studio source [at this year’s Movie Convention], Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg definitely start shooting “Indiana Jones 4” next year.

  • Looks like Antonio Banderas is out and Robert Downey Jr is in for the remake of “Ten”, Called “Ten Again”, judging by all the posters at this year’s Convention.

  • Mick Molloy [“Crackerjack”] is currently in the midst of writing two new films, neither – despite pestering from those who say they’ve ideas for one – will be a sequel to the lawn-bowling comedy.

  • Dave O’Neil [“Takeaway”] is hard at work, penning “You and Your Stupid Mate”, for Hoyts, a comedy about two dole bludgers that get forced to work for the dole.

  • According to Dark Horizons, Michael Jackson is suing Dimension over a scene in “Scary Movie 3” that ribs Jacko’s whole child sex rep.

  • Bloody Disgusting reports that “Leprechaun in the Hood 2” now has a December 30th release set.

  • Jack Osbourne has joined the cast of the new Olsen Twins movie “New York Minute”. He’ll play a band manager.

  • Stephanie Moore is playing one of the lead roles in “Cube : Zero”, according to The Official Site for the film, which started shooting last week.

  • Empire Online spoke to Luke Goss who said a sequel to “The Long Good Friday” might be in the works, with Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and co all returning.

  • The “Red Dwarf” movie looks set to lens this October at Queensland’s Warner Bros Movie World Studios.

  • Matthew Bomer is still top choice for “Superman” it seems, with it now almost certain that McG has returned to the director’s chair.
