Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, Len Wiseman, Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston

Len Wiseman’s Total Recall is out in US cinemas this week, this is the remake of Paul Verhoeven’s classic 90’s action flick, based on a short story by Phillip K Dick. Colin Farrell is in Arnie’s old role playing Doug Quaid, who realises he is not who he thinks he is when he visits Rekall, a place which inserts whatever memories you request. I would choose something a little less shooty than a double agent, but that’s just me. Kate Beckinsale is his good wife gone bad, Jessica Biel is the lovely resistance fighter trying to help Doug recover his memories, and Bryan Cranston plays the evil Cohaagen.

The film plays out pretty much the same as the 90’s version, but without that visit to Mars, and probably with less literal DVD commentary. (If you haven’t heard Arnold’s commentary on the DVD of the original film, you have to check it out, it is truly brilliant!)

I got to sit down with the cast to chat about the film, and I wanted to know whether as actors, they really believe the memories they create for their characters…
