A cute photo that will melt any man of steel.

Before he was cast as Superman in “Man of Steel”, Zack Snyder decided to slap Christopher Reeves’s original Superman costume on Henry Cavill – just to make sure he was as perfect for the part as his screen test suggested. And as you can see from the photo below, the bravura audition was no fluke. Sure, the movie was a frustratingly odd promo for Apple computer effects packages, but you can’t argue that Cavill wasn’t perfect for the role of Krypton’s finest.

Cavill would reprise the role for last year’s “Batman v. Superman” – itself more or less just a commercial for the next movie in the series – and will this year be seen in the all-star team-uper “Justice League”.
