Damon joining Copley in Elysium?

Matt Damon is circling “Elysium”, the next film for Neil Blompkamp (“District 9”).

The plot is being kept under wraps, but Deadline says that it’s – not surprisingly – another science-fiction film.

Sharlto Copley, who headlined Blomkamp’s “District 9”, is already onboard.

Though his last film, Clint Eastwood’s “Hereafter”, wasn’t a major success, Damon has a few goodies on the way – he’s the male lead in George Nolfi’s “The Adjustment Bureau” with Emily Blunt, has a role in this Chrissy’s big Oscar hopeful “True Grit”, Stars opposite Mark Ruffalo and Kieran Culkin in Fox Searchlight’s “Margaret” (though that was completed in 2005), voices one of the characters in the “Happy Feet” sequel, and is a part of the all-star ensemble cast of Steven Soderbergh’s “Contagion”. Damon is currently filming the new film for Cameron Crowe, “We Bought a Zoo”.
