Will his character return?
Last week, the trades announced that Martin Scorsese is keen to do both a sequel and a prequel to his recent hit, “The Departed”.
Matt Damon, talking to today’s Herald Sun, says he’s still yet to be contacted about it – so doubts his character would be involved in either film.
“I read that, too, and I’ve been racking my brains about how we’d do it. I don’t really know what the movie would be about. Maybe it’s just starring Mark Wahlberg – he’s the only one left alive [at the end of the first film]”.
Damon also mentioned that he’d like to see a 10th anniversary commemorative edition of “Good Will Hunting” on DVD but says that would “require [producer] Harvey Weinstein putting more money into the movie and I don’t think we can do that unless he can figure he can get it out the other side”.
