Daniel Craft, dying Star Trek fan, has sadly passed away

Sad news today, Daniel Craft, the young man who, upon being diagnosed with terminal cancer, was granted a special private at-home screening of “Star Trek Into Darkness” (thanks to the power of the internet and the generosity of J.J Abrams), has sadly passed away.

The 41 year old, a big-time “Star Trek” fan and the organizer of the New York Asian Film Festival, passed away Friday 10:15pm.

‘Dan’ is survived by his wife and daughter.

J.J Abrams, you did a fine, fine thing here. The last special moment for this young man was watching your film. Be proud.
