Update! The Hollywood Reporter says Travolta has signed to play mobster John Gotti in the Nick Cassavetes directed “Gotti : Three Generations”. Actor Leo Rossi (“Halloween 2”, “The Accused”) wrote the script. Gotti Jr, Travolta and Cassavetes will hold a press conference to discuss the project on April 12.

John Travolta may play gangster John Gotti in a film that’ll reunite the former with his “Face/Off” co-star Nick Cassavetes.
Cassavetes is directing a biopic about the late New York City crime boss, head of the Gambino crime family.
Producer Marc Fiore tells EW that cinema’s Danny Zuko may be playing Gotti.
”We would love to have him… He’s a terrific actor. John Gotti, Sr. — he’s an icon. And so is Travolta … The Gottis have an image already. People know who they are. You can’t just be a good actor, you have to be a great actor who can become John Gotti.”
Whatcha think? Travolta as Gotti? Closest character he’s ever played to Gotti would be, what, the greasy mob figure he played in “The Punisher”!? Wasn’t Sly Stallone in talks to play Gotti in a film at one stage too?
