David Denman cast as Power Rangers Dad

David Denman will play the father of Jason Scott/the Red Ranger in Lionsgate’s “Power Rangers” movie.

Sam Scott is “often at odds with his son over Jason’s football career,” reports THR.

RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Naomi Scott and Dacre Montgomery star as the titular Power Rangers in the film from director Dean Israelite.

Elizabeth Banks is also on board as the villainous alien witch Rita Repulsa.

Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama penned the script. Producers are Saban Brands’ Haim Saban and Brian Casentini, with Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. Allison Shearmur will exec produce.
