20th Century Fox confirmed today, at CinemaCon, that plans are indeed a foot – of course- to bring Deadpool back to the big screen.
A sequel to the smash-hit February release is in development with the original cast and crew – star Ryan Reynolds, director Tim Miller, and screenwriters Rhett Rheese & Paul Wernick – all returning for a second serve of smart-arsery.
As suggested at the tail-end of the first film, Fox confirmed that Cable will indeed be joining Deadpool in the follow-up. No actor is set to play the part (though “Avatar” alum Stephen Lang has expressed interest).
Look for the “Deadpool” sequel over the next couple of years.
