Deepwater Horizon : Chandor Out, Berg In

Peter Berg has replaced J.C Chandor on “Deepwater Horizon”, the true story that occurred on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010.

The Wrap says Chandor (“All is Lost”) left over creative differences. Berg (“Lone Survivor”) stepped in, likely at the request of the film’s star – friend and regular collaborator – Mark Wahlberg.

Matthew Sand and Matthew Carnahan’s screenplay fixes on one of the worst man-made disasters in history.

Berg and Wahlberg have been developing a feature version of “Six Million Dollar Man” – now called “Six Billion Dollar Man” – together.
