Last week Legendary Pictures moved their “King Kong” prequel, formerly known as “Skull Island”, from Universal to Warner Bros – so that they could do a crossover film with their recent “Godzilla” reboot.
As a result though, Universal seems to have axed one of Legendary’s projects – maybe in the name of revenge?
The thought-as-good-as-greenlit “Pacific Rim” sequel has been put on indefinite pause, with speculation that it might be done.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Guillermo Del Toro’s science-fiction actioner has been “halted indefinitely” with the film’s proposed August 4, 2017 release now out.
