Franchise star Vin Diesel has taken to Facebook to announce the casting of Hong Kong action star Donnie Yen in “xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage”.
But what Diesel doesn’t reveal on Facebook is that Yen is replacing Jet Li in the cast, or at least that’s what TwitchFilm is reporting.
According to the outlet, an “anonymous source” says Li has chosen to exit the project for unknown reasons.
Tony Jaa, Deepika Padukone, Toni Collette, Samuel L. Jackson and, according to rumour, Ice Cube will co-star in the film from director D.J. Caruso.
Whether the “anonymous source” is legit remains unknown, but no doubt the rumour will be confirmed or denied in due course.
