Donovan’s Echo with Danny Glover, Bruce Greenwood going theatrical

Wanted to give y’all a heads up about a new movie hitting cinemas in Feb; called “Donovan’s Echo” it features powerhouse duo Danny Glover (“Touch”, “Saw”) and Bruce Greenwood (“Star Trek”, “Thirteen Days”) and is directed by Jim Cliffe, who you may remember we interviewed a couple of years ago about his acclaimed short film “Tomorrow’s Memoir”.

Anyway, this new pic of his is being released theatrically in select Canadian cities on Feb 24th. They’ll also be screening next week in LA at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival on Feb 15th, 18th, and 19th.
Jim co-wrote the movie with his wife Melodie Krieger.

Here’s the story :

After a long absence, Donovan Matheson (Danny Glover) returns home to discover events from his past are repeating. Plagued by the idea of déjà vu, Donovan is convinced his young neighbour and her mother will be killed on the 30th anniversary of his own wife and daughter’s death. Struggling to unlock the pattern, Donovan tries to convince his brother-in-law, Finnley (Bruce Greenwood) to help prevent a similar tragedy. When his facts don’t add up, Donovan’s sanity is questioned. Is he losing his mind, or running out of time?

I don’t usually go out on a limb and fly the flag for flicks in this way, but I truly believe this is a minor gem and can’t imagine you’ll be anything less than pleased with yourself buying a ticket.
