Jude Law will reunite with “Sherlock Holmes” director Guy Ritchie on “King Arthur”, according to Variety.
Law will play an unnamed villain in the movie, expected to be the first in a six-movie franchise.
Idris Elba, previously reported to be playing a Merlin the magician-type character, is no longer involved in the film.
“King Arthur” will star Charlie Hunnam and Astrid Berges-Frisbey. The film, written by Joby Harold, is due for a July 22, 2016 release.
