The “Superman Returns” and “Josie and the Pussycats” villain will ‘return to the dark side’ to play the iconic role of Smith (previously only played by fellas) in the cabler’s new take on Irwin Allen’s 1965 cult TV classic, says Deadline.

Slated for a 2018 launch, the new show tackles the same storyline as the ’60s series and 1998 film.

Posey is currently on Netflix’s “Mascots” from Christopher Guest.
