Eastwood, Beyonce teaming for A Star is Born

They’ve been talking about doing another remake (it’s already been done three times) “A Star is Born” for years. Will Smith was said to be the favourite for the bloke at one stage with Jennifer Lopez the lass. Most recently, trusty tabloids had it that Russell Crowe and Beyonce were going to get a page.

While Crowe awaits by the beeper, Beyonce Knowles heads to hair and make-up. Yep, she’s got the job. Deadline reports that Knowles has signed on to star in the Will Fetters written project. Yeah, can you believe it? They’re actually going to do the bloody movie… not just talk about it! Different, right?

You’ll never below who is set to direct Ms Knowles in the film though? Who? No! not him! Clint Eastwood. Dirty Harry. Seemingly wanting a comedown from the heavy fare he’s helmed of late, the “Invictus” and “Hereafter” helmer has signed on to direct the film. Warner Bros – of course, being the only studio Eastwood works for – will open the vault to the project.
