Eddie Murphy doing Richard Pryor biopic

At one stage Eddie Murphy was set to play Richard Pryor himself; now, according to E Online, the Beverly Hills Cop is back in the Pryor biopic fold, but in a supporting role.

Mike Epps plays Pryor.

Lee Daniels, director of the long-delayed biopic, revealed on Instagram the film’s new addition. E later revealed that Murphy’s playing Pryor’s father, former boxer LeRoy “Buck Carter” Pryor, and Kate Hudson is Pryor’s wife Jennifer Pryor.
