Edgar Ramirez (“Deliver Us From Evil”) will star Jennifer Lawrence’s on-screen husband in the next David O.Russell production, “Joy”.
Lawrence plays Miracle Mop inventor Joy Mangano who became famous for selling her inventions on The Home Shopping Network.
Ramirez will play Tony Miranne, who was married to Mangano for a short time, before leaving her with the three children they had together.
Robert De Niro is also onboard.
“Joy” will go before the cameras in February 2015. O.Russell is currently rewriting the Annie Mumolo (“Bridesmaids”)-written script.
