Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti are set to face off on the tennis court.
The actors will play the leads in a film about the historical “battle of the sexes” tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs.
HBO is developing the thus-far untitled film with David Auburn attached to pen the script. Banks will play King opposite Giamatti’s Riggs.
Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman of Playtone will exec produce with Banks and Max Handelman of Brownstone Productions.
