Elizabeth Banks on remake

Aboard “Tale of Two Sisters” redo

“40-year-old Virgin” hottie Elizabeth Banks – she’s the fox having a jolly old time in the bath at film’s end – will topline the new frightfest “A Tale of Two Sisters”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on the Kim Jee-Woon’s 2003 Korean horror film of the same name, the story revolves around two sisters who return home to their father after spending time in a mental institution. Their recovery is hindered by their cruel stepmother’s (Banks) obsessiveness and an interfering ghost.

Brothers Thomas and Charles Guard will helm the film, scheduled to begin shooting in July in Shreveport, La.

Cinemagoers might also remember Banks from the “Spider-Man” films – she plays Betty Brant.
