Hearing rumours this week that HBO’s “American Lion” has lost director Phillip Noyce (“Salt”, “Patriot Games”).
The Australian filmmaker was expected to direct multiple episodes of the series, expected to star Sean Penn as 7th President Andrew Jackson.
Reason for Noyce’s departure? Arclight have offered him the opportunity to direct their upcoming flick “Killer 10”, a Paul Staheli-written thriller which will lens in China.
Big screen wins out over small screen this time.
