Fast Furious 3D

In an interview with Collider, uber-producer Neal Moritz says that the upcoming “Fast Five” – the fifth in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise – will likely see some of the faces from the previous flicks rejoin series stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.

”We’re talking…we’re trying to finalize the script right now but the goal is to bring touchstone’s characters from each of the movies back”, Moritz said, when asked whether Tyrese Gibson (“2 Fast 2 Furious”) and others might make appearances in the film.

Also, hopefully guys aren’t sick of editing-bay 3D-conversion, either?

”Fast and Furious will be a very hard movie to shoot in 3D because of the way we do the car stuff and because the movie has such quick cuts. So we have had many discussions about it. I don’t think we’ll actually shoot in 3D but there’s a good chance the movie will be in 3D.”

Er, really? Geez I hope someone pulls the plug out of the bath on that darn 3D trend soon!

Meanwhile, Moritz is also working – on a sixth “Fast and Furious”, but also – on a remake of my beloved “Highlander”. The big guy says it’s as close to a “reboot” as anything, but there’s a possibility that some of the Queen music we love so much from the original film may pop up again in this do-over.
