Fast 8 headed to Russia, Iceland & Cuba!?

Universal is looking to make “Furious 8” quite the map-heavy event with the studio in the process of gaining permission to shoot scenes for the film in Cuba, Russia, Iceland, New York and Atlanta.

According to Variety, the Vin Diesel starrer would be the first Hollywood studio movie to shoot in Cuba since the ’60s should it get the OK (It’s not the first production to shoot there, Showtime’s “House of Lies” is shooting an episode in Havana shortly).

THR adds that the movie, of which principal photography will take place in New York and Atlanta, might also shoot in Russia and Iceland.

The next film in the hot-docket series will be directed by F.Gary Gray and star Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. It’s skedded for April 14th 2017.
