In the lead up to the film’s release, Disney has debuted the final trailer for its Angelina Jolie starer “Maleficent”.
Released on Wednesday, the latest trailer begins with a clip from the animated 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty” for which the new film was inspired. The trailer then transitions into the live action footage of the modern version which depicts “Maleficent” in all her power.
The film is set in the years leading up to the events that unfold in “Sleeping Beauty” and explores the reasons behind Maleficent’s evil.
Jolie stars as the film’s titular villain opposite Elle Fanning. Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville co-star in the pic directed by Robert Stromberg.
“Maleficent” will hit cinemas on May 30. Catch the trailer below.
