Joe Carnahan’s “Stretch” was dropped by Universal Pictures because of the distribution and marketing costs associated; as far as the studio concerned, the financial output wouldn’t likely be recouped. As a result, and confident it’ll do well (with a cast including Patrick Wilson, Chris Pine and Jessica Alba, pictured above, there’s a fair chance it will), director Carnahan is handling the marketing for the film himself. To kick it off, he has released two new stills on Twitter.
