That on-again off-again “Flash Gordon” movie is back on again.. for the moment.
20th Century Fox has secured the rights to the comic strip fave, consequently tapping Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (co-writers of the next “Star Trek” film) to write the movie. The duo will work from an outline penned by George Nolfi (“The Adjustment Bureau”).
The Hollywood Reporter, who broke the news, says no director has been set – goes without saying that Nolfi would likely be in the mix though.
The last “Flash Gordon” film was released in 1980.
