Mark Protosevich (“Oldboy”) will draft the reboot of “Flash Gordon” at 20th Century Fox.
The writer revealed the news on his own Facebook (via Hitfix) and said, “I can’t wait to get started and if you’re curious about the take? I’m not saying a word. All I’ll say is this – it will be nothing like any version of Flash Gordon you’ve seen.”
Previous scribes on the project included J.D Payne (“Thor”) and Patrick McKay. George Nolfi (“The Adjustment Bureau”) wrote the treatment.
The project, set up at 20th Century Fox, has Matthew Vaughn (“X-Men : First Class”) onboard to direct.
