Forest Whitaker going from Star Wars to… Labyrinth?

One-time ‘Ghost Dog’ Forest Whitaker is set to join Johnny Depp in “LAbyrinth” (no, it’s a not a redo of the David Bowie-Jennifer Connelly classic), a movie that follows the criminal investigation behind the murders of legendary, late rappers Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Whitaker – who next appears in “Rogue One : A Star Wars Story” – will play a journo who teams with Depp’s LAPD detective to help solve the murders.

“Lincoln Lawyer” helmer Brad Furman is onboard to direct from a script by Christian Conteras, which he adapted from the book “LAbyrinth: A Detective Investigates the Murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., the Implication of Death Row Records’ Suge Knight, and the Origins of the Los Angeles Police Scandal.”

Love the concept, really enjoy Whitaker, but…enough with Depp already, no?
