Four added to Gaffigan comedy You Can Choose Your Family

Emmy Award winner Anna Gunn (Sully, AMC’s “Breaking Bad”), Samantha Mathis (American Pastoral, FX’s “The Strain”), Alex Karpovsky (Hail, Caesar!, HBO’s “Girls”) and Logan Miller (A Dog’s Purpose, AMC’s “The Walking Dead”) have joined Emmy Award nominee Jim Gaffigan in Miranda Bailey’s upcoming comedy ”You Can Choose Your Family”.

Frank (Gaffigan) is a seemingly normal father of a loving family. However, his home life is hilariously turned upside down when his 17-year-old son, Phillip (Miller) discovers that his dad has a second family.

“We have a truly talented group of actors and I am beyond excited to lead this stellar cast in this delightful story,” commented Bailey. “I can’t think of a more perfect class of actors to portray this seemingly dysfunctional family, which I think we can all relate to in one way or another in our own families.”

Gunn will take on the role of Laura, Frank’s first wife with Mathis playing the role of the second wife, Bonnie. Miller will play Frank’s teenaged son Phillip and the character Ross will be played by Karpovsky.

Currently in production, the film was developed by Bailey from a script written by Glen Lakin. Producers are Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Karen Kehela Sherwood of Imagine Entertainment and Amanda Marshall of Cold Iron Pictures.
