Frank Castle and Judge Dredd together at last!

Thomas Jane (“The Punisher”) will join Sylvester Stallone in the Walter Hill directed “Headshot”, the actor tells the Arrow in the Head podcast.

Jane, currently on the popular cabler “Hung”, will play a detective who teams up with a hitman (Stallone) to solve the murders of their respective partners.

Says Jane, “He’s a hitman, I’m a cop, and we’re just opposite in every f*cking way, and we need each other to get this job done. And of course I’m like, ‘As soon as this job’s over, I’m going to take you to jail, you know, you’re a killer,'” he told the podcast.

The project will film in May in Louisiana, ahead of Stallone’s “Expendables” sequel.

Speaking of, Sly tells Deadline that he won’t – contrary to reports that he’s reclaimed his director’s chair – be helming the sequel to the 2010 hit.

Reports Mike Fleming :

Sylvester Stallone wants it known that despite reports to the contrary, he will not be directing the sequel to The Expendables. Stallone, who directed and starred in the crowd-pleasing original that grossed around $275 million for Millennium and Lionsgate, is heavily involved in putting together a list of directors to helm the second installment

Maybe Walter Hill can helm “Expendables 2”? Just throwing that out there…
