Frank Miller gets Hard Boiled

And two new “Spirit” Posters unveiled

Man, keyboards shit me sometime….. if wireless ones aren’t running out of battery, then wired ones are crammed with dirty so that every second key you press doesn’t want to work…. But what do you care, right?

So, I’ll type the next story using a Commodore 64 Pad and a $50 generator.

Comic Legend Frank Miller (“Sin City”, “The Spirit”) tells MTV that his next stint behind-the-camera (he’s currently helming “The Spirit”, of which we have the poster and a new pic for below) may be “Hard Boiled” – and no, it’s got nothing to do with Chow Yun-Fat.

“Hard Boiled” – though baring the same title as a John Woo-directed effort – is actually another inked offering from the graphically-capable author.

Here’s the back cover blurb :

Nixon seems like a normal guy: loving husband; doting father; tax collector. But is he Carl Seltz? Or perhaps Harry Burns? Maybe he is, in fact, Unit Four, cybernetic organism, a robot on the fritz. Bucking his programming, Nixon drifts in and out of reality leaving a three-figure body count in his crimson wake as he struggles with what he believes is The Real World. As bizarre as it is graphic, Hard Boiled will fry your brain!

Having now directed “The Spirit”, Miller’s pretty set on directing, and believes he’s the best man to bring “Hard Boiled” to the screen too.

“I’m in love with directing,” he gushed. “I’ve found a way to expand my career. Comics and directing are really two sides of the same coin. That’s what Robert Rodriguez taught me…good drama is good drama.”

In 2001, Variety reported that Warner Brothers was in negotiations with Miller and to adapt the comic book into a feature film, David Fincher was to direct and Nicolas Cage to star. Nothing ever eventuated.

Those two images Lionsgate have sent over from “The Spirit” are below..
