Frankenstein develops a liking for the Aussie women

“Chuck” star Yvonne Strahovski and former “Cashmere Mafia” actress Miranda Otto are headed back to their native Australia to play the girly parts in director Stuart Beattie’s “I, Frankenstein”.

The beautiful actress, whose film credits include “I Love You Too” and “The Killer Elite”, will play the love interest of Aaron Eckhart’s Frankenstein character, a gifted scientist who is tricked into renaimating an army of zombies.

Bill Nighy (“Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Man’s Chest”) is in talks to play the villain, a demon prince.

The movie will shoot in various parts of Victoria, Australia, including the Docklands film studios.

Beattie, who did a terrific job on “Tomorrow When the War Began”, has a great eye for detail and a knack for making something look thirty-times as more expensive than it was. That bodes well for the pic.
