Fresh monster for Prometheus 2

The sequel to 2012’s “Prometheus” will feature a ‘fresh’ monster, according to director Ridley Scott.

Speaking to The Australian (via Dark Horizons), the filmmaker said he’s “getting away from gods and dragons and shit. If I see one more dragon I’m going to shoot myself. Stop the dragons.”

Scott is referring to the monster created by H.R Giger in the original “Alien” (1979), which he calls the “definitive dragon”.

“The alien’s real which is why it’s probably one of the scariest monsters in film history.”

“With Prometheus 2 what I’m trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act,” says Scott.

Meanwhile, the “Exodus” helmer says the script for “Blade Runner 2” is finished and it’s “really good”.
