George Clooney may cross paths with Marty McFly!

George Clooney is the frontrunner to play John DeLorean, the chap who invented the car made famous by “Back to the Future”, in a new biopic penned by Alex Holmes, the writer-director behind HBO’s ”House of Saddam”.

DeLorean, of course, was a former GM exec who left to start his own company in Ireland. His most famous creation was the DMC-12 – later made famous by Robert Zemeckis’ 1985 film.

The movie, says Irish Central, will chronicle DeLorean’s transition from GM employee to head honcho of his own company, as well as fix on his 1982 arrest for drug traffiking.

DeLorean died a few years back, aged 80.

Unknowns may play the Three Stooges!
