James Brown biopic “Get On Up” will open the Zurich International Film Festival on September 25.
Director Tate Taylor has previously attended the Fest in 2011 when his Oscar-winning pic “The Help” was the closing-night film.
“Get On Up” stars Chadwick Boseman as Brown with Viola Davis, Dan Aykroyd, Nelson Ellis, Lennie James and Octavia Spencer as Brown’s aunt.
Brian Grazer and Mick Jagger produced the pic that looks at Brown’s rise from a life of poverty to one of decadence as the Godfather of Soul.
