Ghost Rider has Vanished

Nicolas Cage for new Hany Abu-Assad movie

Nicolas Cage has jumped aboard “The Vanished”, says Variety. Its the first studio pic for Hany Abu-Assad, the Palestinian-born director of 2005 Oscar nominee “Paradise Now.”

The pic, penned by Larysa Kondracki and Eilis Kirwan, concerns a father who goes in search of his college-aged American-born Muslim son, who’s missing overseas.

Cage and his wacky hair plugs get to work on “Vanished” as soon as he’s showered from “The Wrestler”, a drama he’s doing with Darren Aronofsky.
