Netflix is set to develop a limited-series “Gilmore Girls” revival.
According to TVLine, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino will write the script for the revival which will consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies.
Word is the main cast – including Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson – are expected to return to reprise their roles, though no deals have been done yet.
The outlet also reports that the story will catch up with the characters in the present day – 8 years after the events of the final season. And apparently “most — if not all — of Rory’s major suitors (i.e. Logan, Jess and Dean) [will] turn up in the four super-sized installments.”
