AMC has renewed “Halt and Catch Fire” for season 3 while FX has ordered a third season of it’s drama “Tyrant”.
“Halt and Catch Fire” garnered significant critical acclaim in its second season, which shifted focus from building a personal computer to online gaming and communication and the early days of what would become the Internet.
Co-creators and writers Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers will become showrunners for the 10-episode third season. The show will return to AMC next summer.
Meanwhile “Tyrant” will return to FX next year with a 10-episode third season.
The show comes from Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning exec producer Howard Gordon. It centres on an unassuming American family drawn into the inner workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation.
