According to David from Criminal Minds Fanatic the Keitel thing isn’t the done deal the trades are making out it is!

However, we should have some news before the week is out about an exciting addition to the team. When a deal is closed, you will all be the second people I tell (after the cast and crew of course). Harvey Keitel has been chosen to replace Mandy Patinkin on TVs “Criminal Minds”.
Not a bad catch for the show – heck, he’s even more of a name than the guy he’s replacing – who were said to have also spoken to Michael Keaton and Geena Davis about filling the top spot.
Following Patinkin’s exit, the show’s producers launched an exhaustive search for a big-name actor to play a new central character, says Reuters. Looks like they may have found him in “National Treasure 2” and “Pulp Fiction” star Keitel.
“Minds,” revolving around the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit, returns for a third season in the fall.
