Helen Mirren – who has expressed interest in joining the franchise in the past – has revealed she’ll appear in the upcoming “Fast 8”.
“I’m about to do Fast and Furious 8,” Mirren told Elle. “I’ve always rather loved driving. I said, ‘I’ll be in it, but only if I’m allowed to drive if I do drive in it.’ But we’ll see. We’ll see how it transpires.”
Mirren joins a cast that includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Lucas Black, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Charlize Theron, Kristofer Hivju and Scott Eastwood.
F. Gary Gray is directing the film which is set to bow on April 14, 2017.
