Heroes Reborn comics on the way!

Titan Comics announced today that the company has been granted rights to publish comics based on NBC’s upcoming event series ”Heroes Reborn” premiering this fall.

The licensing agreement awarded by Universal Partnerships & Licensing begins with a five-story arc featuring the origins of one of the series’ new main characters. The comic series will be written by Heroes Reborn Supervising Producer Seamus Fahey and Zach Craley and illustrated by Rubine.

“Our new Heroes series is being created in close collaboration with the team behind the NBC show.” said Chris Teather, Publishing Director, Titan Comics. “These aren’t just comics; they’re bonus episodes!”

Heroes comic issue #1 will hit comic stores in October 2015.

From creator/executive producer Tim Kring, who imagined NBC’s original critically-acclaimed 2006 “Heroes” series, comes “Heroes Reborn,” an epic 13-episode event series that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. The cast includes Jack Coleman (“Heroes”) as Noah Bennet, a.k.a. H.R.G., Zachary Levi (“Chuck”), Robbie Kay (“Once Upon a Time”), Kiki Sukezane (“Death Yankee 3”), Ryan Guzman (“The Boy Next Door”), Gatlin Green (“Criminal Minds”), Henry Zebrowski (“A to Z”), Judith Shekoni(“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2”), Danika Yarosh (“Shameless”) and Rya Kihlstedt (“Masters of Sex”). Some of the original cast will be returning in guest star arcs, including Masi Oka, Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Jimmy Jean-Louis.

Joining Kring are executive producers James Middleton (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) and Peter Elkoff (“Sons of Anarchy”). “Heroes Reborn” is produced by Imperative Entertainment, in association with Universal Television, and will air in Fall 2015.
