High Noon remake to be set in present day

Relativity Studios is set to remake 1952 Western “High Noon”.

The remake will be set in the present day on the Texas-Mexico border, though plot details haven’t been revealed.

The original film was directed by Fred Zinnemann and starred Gary Cooper as a town marshal forced to face a gang of vengeful killers by himself when his townspeople turn their backs on him.

Karen Kramer and Stephen S. Jaffe will produce the remake with Relativity Co-CEO Ryan Kavanaugh and Dana Brunetti on board to exec produce.
