Relativity Studios is set to remake 1952 Western “High Noon”.
The remake will be set in the present day on the Texas-Mexico border, though plot details haven’t been revealed.
The original film was directed by Fred Zinnemann and starred Gary Cooper as a town marshal forced to face a gang of vengeful killers by himself when his townspeople turn their backs on him.
Karen Kramer and Stephen S. Jaffe will produce the remake with Relativity Co-CEO Ryan Kavanaugh and Dana Brunetti on board to exec produce.
