Avi spills the beans (again)
After quite a bit of speculation, MTV has confirmed that Hilary Swank is indeed taking part in Jon Favreau’s “Iron Man” – and the source is good old Avi Arad himself (who apparently is worse than us Internet types in keeping things hush-hush).
“How do you know [about that]?,” a stunned Arad replied when asked about Swank. After a few beats, he admitted: “It’s a cameo.” Avi also spoke about being disappointed with the news of Samuel L. Jackson being involved as Nick Fury: “The Sam thing was supposed to be the biggest secret of them all,” he shrugged. “It’s amazing how it got out.”
Larry Carroll, who wrote up the piece, has the theory that Swank will be involved in “Iron Man” as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, which gels with what we’ve been hearing so far – Marvel are keen to get a fully-fledged “Nick Fury” movie up & running, so this would fit in quite nicely.
