Holbrook writing, directing Peacock Killer

Boyd Holbrook (“Very Good Girls”) and Madeleine Sackler have launched their own production company, Madbrook Films.

Based in New York, the movie-making shingle will produce “passion projects from both partners as well as other writers and director”, kicking off with “Peacock Killer”.

The film marks the directorial debut of Holbrook, with Shea Whigham and Elizabeth Marvel “in the tale of reconciliation between a man and his dog after a peacock comes between them.”

The company is also working on “Uncle Sam”, the story of a military-bound teen’s investigation into his father’s disappearance.
