Will Smith’s character mightn’t be returning, but seems many of the other [surviving] characters from “Independence Day” will be back for the 2016 sequel.
Joining Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman (though not confirmed, he has said his character is in the script) for seconds is Vivica A.Fox. The “Kill Bill” actress played Jasmine Dubrow, an exotic dancer and the wife of Smith’s character. Jessie Usher will play her onscreen son in the Roland Emmerich directed film.
Vivica’s return was announced via Twitter by both the actress and director.
